The Problem with the Gap

The Problem with the Gap
  by doudou

The gap between the mattresses of an adjustable bed can range from a few inches to quite wide, depending on the bed's design and how much it's adjusted. This gap can be a nuisance in several ways. First and foremost, it's a safety hazard. During the night, you might roll over and find yourself slipping into the gap, which can be a rude awakening and even cause minor injuries like bumps and bruises. Couples may also find that the gap gets in the way of cuddling or simply sleeping close together, as one person's movement can cause the other to feel the dip in the middle.
Moreover, the gap can lead to a loss of support. Your body needs consistent support along its entire length for proper spinal alignment. When there's a gap in the middle of your bed, your back and hips may not be properly supported, leading to discomfort and potential back pain in the long run. Additionally, pillows and blankets tend to slide into the gap, making your bed look messy and forcing you to constantly readjust them.
